36 years insurance experience
Ned Bair was born, raised, and continues to live in the Greensburg area. He attended St. Leo College in Florida and completed his college education at Robert Morris College in Pittsburgh.
When he began his insurance career in 1974 with Bair & Brown Inc, he became the fourth generation Bair in the business. Ned separated from the agency in 1994 to start his own firm which subsequently merged with McDowell Associates, Inc in 1999. He has enjoyed his nearly forty year career in the property & casualty insurance business, due especially to the many relationships and friendships that he’s cultivated.
Ned is Vice President of Sales with the new firm of KFIG and looks forward to the opportunities ahead. He specializes in commercial accounts yet stays current with personal lines changes for the sake of his clientele.
As for his personal life, he had coached baseball and was a board member for the West Point Little League Association for fifteen years. He is also a past board member and campaign chairman for the United Way of Westmoreland County, and a Rotarian. Ned was widowed in 1999 when his wife of twenty-five years lost her battle with cancer. The two have three wonderful sons together and Ned couldn’t be more proud of Nate, Shane, and Patrick as they’ve grown to manhood. He loves fishing and is a member of Yankanuck Club in North Ontario where he and his sons try to meet for their annual reunion. Ned prefers the outdoors and spends time in his garden doing yardwork. He also plays bocce and golfs with friends and clients when time permits.
